Dear Omaha,
How much do I hate thee? Let me count the ways in no particular order...
- You are pretentious enough to have a Fashion Week. Are you kiddin' me? Paris. Milan. Omaha!?! Puhleeze...
- You spent millions of dollars on a pedestrian bridge while you turn your backs on one of the poorest black communities in the country.
- Lee Terry.
- Excessive force from the OPD consistently being "investigated" and "excused".
- The Old Market on weekends and the drunk bitches and frat boys who prowl, puke and piss on it.
- That hag who runs the Jackson Street Bookseller. I wonder if she's ever read 'Sybill'?
- Saddle Creek Records. "We only record our friends". Hey, newsflash: your friends are a bunch of fucking whiners. Stop recording them.
- The Clones west of 72nd.
- The Clones in Dundee.
- Mayor Mike Fahey's big fat face.
- The Reader.
- The City Weekly.
- The World Herald.
- Westside Church and that greedy bastard of a head pastor. I've waited on him. God must be turning over in her grave...
- The roads! C'mon, I shouldn't get so attached to potholes that I start naming them for Chrissakes!!

Why well simply Being a trans women in this town. Well okay so I dont live in Omahell I live in CL iowa we are forced to depend on that shit hole of a city cause well they surrond us on three sides and our other border is the river. Ok so back to the whole trans issue well the weird thing is transfolk are actully somewhat accepted well for the most part at least with the straight community yet when it come so the Gay comm we are sorta left on the other side of the street going Where is the T in glbT.
Oh yeah and Nebraska drivers suck the omaha roads suck and the old market has gone to shit.

my mom bought a dog off of a family friend. hes only 2 months and is still potty training.
today i was reading the omaha world-herald on the living room floor and sure enough, lokie (our dog), peed on the midlands section i was reading.

My parents have to be kidding if they actually think I'll willingly attend UNO/UNL. :D
THE SCHOOL SYSTEMS ALL SUCK! And everyone here has a misconception that Omaha is like heaven on earth. Yeah, right.

good to see omaha is hated to the extent of having it's own group! threats of having to move back to that hell hole of a state prompted me to join in with the loathing. now granted i've never had to live in omaha...but i've experienced something far FAR worse. i spent over 10 years, my entire adolescence, in kearney, nebraska...a town completely devoid of any type of culture (unless you consider athletics cultural...then there's something very wrong with you and maybe you need to consider moving there so you can be closer to more people like you. a place where "pressing issues" consist of building more golf courses (cause 3 isn't enough to support a population of 26,000) and that eye-sore of an "archway". ok...so this should probably be posted in an "ihatekearney" community, but you'll just have to deal with it since there isn't one and i have no intention of creating one since i'm trying to block it from my memory. the main point here is i will tell them to shove my job up their collective asses before i move omaha! no amount of money will make it worth my time to reside there. i've made it out and refuse to let that pit they call a state suck me back in!!!!
